You Fly, We Buy June 2015: Kickin’ it with Clients

You Fly, We Buy is a special time for us here at Foundant. It’s not just about training in the software, or clients connecting with the Client Services and Development teams, it’s also about the fact that when clients come to Bozeman, they get to see what our lives are like. They get to understand why we choose to live in a place that often drops below zero in the winter, and sometimes much colder. A place where humans are, quite literally, outnumbered by cows. And, a place where most locals refer to summer as “construction season.”

Last week (June 4th and 5th) marked our 5th You Fly, We Buy event – and the first of 2015. Two days of training clients one-on-one gives our Client Success Team a special opportunity to get to know the people who use our software, and really understand what their day-to-day lives are like. This is just as important as our clients understanding the software… because, if we don’t understand what their grantmaking process is like, how can we make sure they’re using the system successfully and how can we continue to make it better?

In a similar way, these events also help our clients understand our day-to-day lives. We don’t invite people to Montana and tell them all about the great things it has to offer just to brag it up (although, we do like to brag… just a little). We simply want people to understand that we’re really happy… both with our jobs at this unique company and with where we live. And, a happy software company means better software for our users!

If you’ve been a client for any length of time and have been able to attend any of our events, then you know we work to pull this common thread of collaborative learning through everything we do. That’s why we source updates for the software from our clients, why we’ve started offering Foundant Field Trips and Meet Ups, and why we’re already planning for Summit 2017. Working and learning together is the best way we know to make everyone successful.
