Hello! I was raised mainly in Billings, MT, but was born in a small town outside of Minot, North Dakota. I am the youngest of three boys and I will be graduating college in May 2015.
My college experience has been unique, but I have slowly found the path that I want to take into the future. I initially started out in architecture (I still love to draw and work on digital design), switched to computer engineering (still love the hobbyist side, aka beaglebone black, and working on open source software), and finally settled on business management with minors in both entrepreneurship and computer science. After my change of majors I have finally decided that I want to stay in the software industry and focus on the people side of a new piece of software. I have always loved volunteering and working with nonprofits, so the opportunity to work for Foundant was a very pleasant surprise!
As for hobbies, I am a total troll. Usually you can find me inside, in front of a computer plugging and chugging at some program, doing some wood-burning on the bottom of a longboard, playing video games, hanging out with friends, or playing my guitar. Every now and then I venture into the outdoors going for hikes, bike rides, and being the typical “Bozeman-ite.”
Learning has always been my key focus in whatever I do, resulting in many bizarre hobbies, as seen above. With Foundant, I’ve found another opportunity to not only learn, but help others learn as well. I look forward to training and helping people fully utilize the Foundant Grant Lifecycle Manager (GLM) software. Being on the Client Services Team, as part of Support Services, will be (and already has been!) a great experience.
